Scientific American, February 2011

I found out this morning that Fiona Harrison, aka "Ms Big", is coming to the lab.

This article is in the current edition of Scientific American (the images are clickable, if you want to read them):

I like the part where it says, "although the telescope may sound fragile, it has been built to withstand...." Now we should add, "but it will not withstand crashing into the grinding wheel!"

So, will you, oh denizen of the ungodly early hours (what, do the gods take those hours off?) hang around to meet 'Ms Big' in the daylight?

Is this like when the Pres or the VP make a surprise visit to the troops? Will there be turkey and gravy? Speeches? TV cameras? Powerpoint presentations?

Morning Man will leave the fawning and kowtowing to others. He will go in extra early so he can be gone before there is any possibility of Ms Big being present.

Does that "Morning Man" title come with a costume? Perhaps a cape? Pajamas? Slippers? How about super powers?
